Comprehensive Exams
Regular exams allow Dr. Megan and Ryan Bond…Learn more about our dentists… to assess your current dental health and prevent issues before they become more significant problems.
During a typical exam, our Everett dentists will provide a thorough evaluation of your teeth and oral cavity. They’ll also take digital x-rays and conduct an oral cancer screening to get a well-rounded view of your oral health. Once all the information has been gathered, we’ll provide you with a comprehensive and personalized treatment plan designed to safeguard your health.
Oral Hygiene
Our oral hygiene appointments are an important preventative measure to ensure your family’s smiles remain healthy and disease-free.
Our highly-trained team will conduct a comprehensive periodontal (gum) evaluation and take x-rays to establish your hygiene plan. Thanks to their gentle touch and friendly nature, even the most nervous patients can enjoy the benefits of our exceptional hygiene appointments and professional cleanings.
In the end, we’ll provide you with excellent at-home advice to help you keep your teeth healthy and strong for a lifetime.
Periodontal Therapy
Your gums are the foundation of your smile. At Bond Family Dentistry, we know there’s no better way to successful oral health than excellent hygiene habits and regular dental check-ups. However, periodontal disease is one of the most common problems we see and can cause issues such as bleeding, red, or receding gums.
If you could be experiencing these early signs of periodontal disease, there is no need to panic! Our skilled Everett dental hygienists can prevent this disease from progressing with periodontal therapy. This therapy involves a range of services from simple teeth cleaning to scaling and root planing (deep cleanings).
Each treatment is designed to remove bacteria and infection while eliminating potential future problems and safeguarding your gum health.
Oral Cancer Screenings
An oral cancer screening consists of a visual and physical examination of your oral cavity and connected tissues using enhanced lightwave technology (VELscope®).
The VELscope® system emanates a fluorescent light that causes any abnormal tissue (lumps, bumps, swelling, patches of color, or other lesions) to stand out, allowing our doctors to identify early signs of oral cancer. If there are signs of cancer, early detection is the key to successful treatment!
Sealants
We all know that brushing and flossing every day is vital for a healthy and happy smile, but some teeth can be tough to reach, especially for younger ones. The good news is our compassionate duo has a simple and kid-friendly solution in the fight against cavities: Dental sealants!
This thin coating is painted onto the teeth to fill in pits and fissures on the tooth surface. These grooves typically trap food or debris, which can cause plaque build-up and, in turn, cavities. Dental sealants make the surface of the tooth smooth, so this debris can be easily brushed away. What’s more, sealants can be cared for as part of your regular at-home hygiene routine.
Root Canals
If a tooth becomes extremely decayed or damaged, it may cause an infection that impacts the nerve inside your tooth (pulp). In cases like this, our expert team may recommend root canal therapy to save your tooth and provide you with lasting pain relief.
During the procedure, your dentist will first remove all the infection, and then he or she will fill the vacated space with a special material to restore the integrity of your tooth. Your dentist will close the hole with a filling material and may protect it with a dental crown.
Nightguards
Many patients unknowingly clench or grind their teeth during the night, which can cause tooth wear, increased sensitivity, and recurring headaches.
If you identify with one or more of the above symptoms, our Everett dental duo can help you resolve this chronic problem using custom nightguards. These comfortable oral appliances are created using digital impressions of your teeth.
Once ready, you will be asked to wear the appliance throughout the night so it can protect your teeth and help maintain proper jaw function and health.
Such outstanding people, who are kind, gentle, and FUN. The best dental experience ever. I never knew there could be a good experience at a dentist!
